Two classes, one syllabus
The central classes meet at Q SPACE in Xitun District, Taichung, in two groups: Class A on Tuesdays and Class B on Fridays. The content is identical. Only the day differs, so a company can choose around its operating rhythm, avoiding fixed shipping days, regular meetings or peak retail hours. The audience is owners, successor teams and senior managers leading transformation.
Two groups also let one company share the load, for example the owner on Tuesday and an operations manager on Friday. Confirm with the organiser first that this is allowed, and agree how notes and exercises will be exchanged inside the company.
Two head mentors
The central classes are the only regional classes taught by two instructors. Chien Lung-cheng, a former general manager of Digiwin, specialises in data-driven strategic planning, value-chain analysis and business management. Kuo Yu-hui has 30 years in manufacturing and retail, founded the Vietnam operation of a software group as its first general manager, and specialises in overseas expansion and strategy facilitation.
Their perspectives complement each other: one leans towards data and value chains, the other towards team consensus and overseas expansion. The pairing gives participants discussion of both internal management and external positioning. The source does not say who teaches which session, so the split follows the organiser's announcement.
Another consideration is the mix of peers. Both classes are in Taichung, and participants are mostly small and medium-sized companies and successor teams from the central region. Classmates can become local partners later, which sets a regional class apart from online learning.
From review to growth to technology
The course description summarises the journey in four stages: strategy review, market insight, marketing growth and technology integration. Across the eight sessions, Sessions 1 and 2 cover review and goals, SEO in Session 3 and information use in Session 5 carry marketing growth, Session 4 assesses options and Session 6 visits a benchmark company.
The last two sessions return to the blueprint. Session 7 completes the strategic framework and action plan, and Session 8 turns it into an operating plan for presentation. SWOT, the business model canvas and OKR or OGSM serve as a shared vocabulary, so owners and successor teams discuss issues, goals and trade-offs in the same terms.
Schedule, venue and preparation
The classes run from May to October, with one or two sessions a month, 13:00 to 17:00, on the 8th floor of 155-1 Section 3, Wenxin Road, Xitun District, Taichung. Peer exchange is a major part of the course, so it helps to send the same core manager each time, keeping the blueprint consistent across all eight sessions.
Before Session 1, participants can collect the company's annual goals, main sources of customers and current digital projects. With these at hand, the review moves into discussion faster, and nothing needs to be gathered in class.
Both head mentors focus on making the blueprint workable. At Session 8, each company hands in not just slides but an operating plan and an action table with priorities, owners and review dates, so that someone keeps the blueprint moving after the classroom.
Link to TINAI resources
The Taiwan Industrial Network of Alliances for Investment (TINAI) was initiated by the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association, R.O.C. At blueprint stage, participants who need an outside partner for smart manufacturing, system integration or digital marketing can read the digital alliance page and describe the need on the opportunities page.
The Tainan and Kaohsiung classes use the same syllabus. The usual reason to choose the central classes is location and teaching day. If a particular instructor's expertise matters more, compare instructor backgrounds across classes.
Offering two teaching days also means companies must settle attendance early. The blueprint needs all eight sessions in sequence. Switching classes midway breaks both the materials and the peer context, so once a class is chosen it is best to keep to it for the whole term.
