Privacy Policy

We collect only what is needed to handle your request, and explain how it is stored and used.

Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy explains how the TINAI (Taiwan Industrial Network of Alliances for Investment) website (“the site”) collects, processes and uses personal data you provide through it. The site is initiated and run by the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association, R.O.C. (NIEA), in line with Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act.

Linked websites follow their own policies; this policy does not cover them.

2. Data controller and contact

NIEA is the data controller. For questions about this policy or your personal data, email 381@careernet.org.tw or call +886-2-2332-8558 ext. 381 during office hours.

3. What we collect

When you fill in a form, we collect only what is needed to handle that request: your name, work email, phone (optional), organization, job title (optional), the alliance or request type you choose and your message. We also record the time of submission, the form language and your consent.

Please do not send attachments, financial data, identity documents, NDA material or other non-public documents through the site. The site does not ask for or collect them.

4. Why we collect it

We use your data to reply to your enquiry, assess and refer partnership or membership requests, handle event or course registrations, and keep the records needed for follow-up.

Submitting a form does not mean you agree to receive marketing messages or newsletters; we will ask for separate, explicit consent for any subscription.

5. How it is processed

Form submissions are sent to and stored with HubSpot’s form service and handled by NIEA staff according to the request type. HubSpot acts as our processor, and its servers may be outside Taiwan (for example in the United States); it processes the data only for the purposes in this policy.

To refer your request, we may share the necessary contact details and a summary with staff of the relevant industry alliance. We do not sell your personal data or share it with other third parties unless the law requires it or you agree.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data until two years after the purpose is fulfilled, and event or course registrations until two years after the event. After that it is deleted or de-identified, unless the law requires otherwise.

7. Period, place, recipients and manner of use

Period: see “How long we keep it”. Place: within Taiwan, and where our service providers host data (HubSpot may host it in the United States). Recipients: NIEA staff, staff of the industry alliance relevant to your request, and the service providers that process data for us. Manner: we reply and keep in touch by email, phone or in writing, and keep records electronically.

8. Your rights

Under Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act you may ask to see your data, receive a copy, have it supplemented or corrected, have its collection, processing or use stopped, or have it deleted. Email 381@careernet.org.tw; we will act within the statutory period once we have confirmed your identity.

You may choose not to provide personal data, but we may then be unable to reply to your enquiry or process a registration.

9. Response boundary

Submitting information does not guarantee a reply within any time, membership, matching, investment or any approval.

10. Minors

This site serves staff of companies and organisations. If you are under 18, please provide personal data only with the consent of your legal guardian.

11. Security

The site uses HTTPS encryption throughout, and only the staff handling requests can access form data.

12. Data breach notification

If personal data is stolen, disclosed, altered or otherwise compromised, we will notify you by appropriate means once the facts are established and explain how it is being handled.

13. Changes to this policy

Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We will also post a notice on the site for significant changes.
