Semiconductor Localization Alliance
The Semiconductor Localization Alliance has 27 member companies. It serves makers of semiconductor equipment, materials and components, and firms from other fields moving into semiconductor applications. This page sets out member capabilities and solutions to help you find partners, with links to research on AI Infra and AI trends.

Vision and strategy
The Semiconductor Localization Alliance centers on patent strategy and advanced packaging, with a focus on expanding into the US, Japan and Europe and linking to local resources there. It builds on the existing supply chain, helps firms with adjacent technologies enter semiconductor applications, and moves members toward overseas presence through market research, matchmaking and international trade shows.
Company names follow the official site, shortened by dropping legal suffixes. Members are listed by the alliance and are not endorsed by this platform.

Where the alliance sits in the supply chain
The Semiconductor Localization Alliance covers the equipment, materials, components and services that wafer fabrication and packaging depend on. It divides the chain into three tiers: upstream (IC design and IP development), midstream (process and equipment) and downstream (packaging and testing). Its main discussion themes are patent strategy and advanced packaging, and its target markets are the United States, Japan and Europe. This page is for overseas buyers seeking Taiwanese equipment and materials suppliers, and for investors assessing that group.
As of 4 November 2026, the TINAI directory lists 27 alliance members: 19 midstream and 8 downstream. The alliance page names no companies in the upstream tier. Twenty of the 27 carry a stock code, 17 on the Taipei Exchange and 3 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Aplex Technology (維田科技股份有限公司) is also listed in the Digital Industries Alliance, and Siward Crystal Technology (希華晶體科技股份有限公司) in the Automotive Components Alliance.
Midstream: process and equipment
The 19 midstream companies do very different things, and it helps to read them in three groups. The first is equipment and carriers. Gudeng (家登精密工業股份有限公司) makes EUV reticle pods and 300mm front-opening unified pods (FOUPs) and grew out of a mould-making business. Santa Phoenix Technology (聖凰科技股份有限公司) supplies nitrogen-purge systems and wafer-carrier storage and transfer equipment. Symtek Automation Asia (迅得機械股份有限公司) provides automation equipment for substrate, packaging-and-test and wafer plants, plus automated material-handling systems.
The second group is materials and consumables. Advanced Echem Materials (新應材股份有限公司) develops and makes speciality chemicals for semiconductors and displays, including advanced-process materials and materials for CMOS image sensors. 智勝科技股份有限公司 makes consumables for chemical mechanical planarisation (CMP), including polishing pads. 耐特科技材料股份有限公司 supplies high-performance plastics, including high-temperature and thermally conductive grades.
The third group is fab services and verification. Greenfiltec (濾能股份有限公司) specialises in control of airborne molecular contamination. Waste Recovery Technology (衛司特科技股份有限公司) builds metal-recovery and etchant-regeneration equipment. iST (宜特科技股份有限公司) is a laboratory for electronics verification and analysis, offering IC circuit repair, failure analysis and reliability testing. These firms sell to fab and test-house operations teams, whose buying decisions usually differ from those for tools and materials.
Other midstream members fill gaps around the main groups. Feedback Technology (翔名科技股份有限公司) provides precision-machined parts and surface treatment for semiconductor equipment. GMT Global (高明鐵企業股份有限公司) makes direct-drive modules, linear stages and alignment platforms with applications in semiconductors and optical communications. Yeedex Electronic (意德士科技股份有限公司) supplies precision components, materials and process equipment to the semiconductor, display, LED, passive-component and solar industries. Chyi Ding Technologies (奇鼎科技股份有限公司) offers fab energy-saving solutions, including AI optimisation of chilled-water systems. Chen Full International (千附實業股份有限公司) provides facility and secondary-piping work for semiconductor and optoelectronics plants.
Downstream: packaging and testing
The 8 downstream companies are mostly packaging-process equipment makers. UVAT Technology (友威科技股份有限公司) supplies PVD and CVD equipment and contract coating for packaging and substrates. LINCOTEC (凌嘉科技股份有限公司) develops thin-film and plasma process tools for advanced packaging and next-generation displays, and also makes heat-dissipation substrates. Ableprint Technology (印能科技股份有限公司) lists de-bubbling, reflow-sintering, press-annealing and inspection equipment.
The remaining members include Asia Neo Tech (科嶠工業股份有限公司), which builds automated drying and related equipment, and two component makers. 拓緯股份有限公司 makes opto-coupled, reed and solid-state relays and RF MEMS switches. Excel Cell Electronic (百容電子股份有限公司) makes switches, relays, connectors and semiconductor lead frames. Advanced packaging is the alliance's core theme, and the equipment makers above work directly on packaging processes. The component makers supply electronic parts used after packaging.
Working overseas
The alliance works in three ways. It links materials, equipment, component and service capability so that larger members help smaller ones upgrade. It uses holding-company structures to speed overseas set-up, taking a group approach to the US, Japanese and European markets. And it studies local industry conditions, arranges company matching and takes part in international trade shows. The cooperation areas on its page are wafer fabrication, advanced packaging, smart processes and sustainability solutions.
For a buyer, this means you can ask the alliance about a combination of suppliers rather than approach one firm at a time. Before you do, check three things: which midstream or downstream group the product belongs to, whether the company has a stock code through which public filings can be found, and whether it also appears in another alliance. The directory gives a product description for every company, which makes a sound first screen. Treat it as a screen only: it describes products and does not replace a supplier audit.
Limits of the public information
Several parts of the alliance page need a caution. Its three headline figures carry no statement of how they were counted, so this page does not use them. The solutions section shows no content. The cooperation-case section also shows no data, and its introductory text concerns the automotive industry, not semiconductors. None of these sections can be used to judge the alliance's results.
The source page lists one more midstream member, a Vietnamese medical-glove production site, which does not fit the semiconductor tier. The TINAI directory places it in the Health & Wellness Alliance, so it is not among the 27 counted here. Alliance data were captured on 25 September 2026. A listing is not an assessment of a company. Confirm specifications, capacity and financial information with the company, and carry out due diligence before you buy or invest.
Frequently asked questions
Does the alliance include IC design or IP companies?
No company is named in the upstream tier on the alliance page, and none is placed there in the directory. If you need such a partner, describe the need and TINAI can route it.
Which members supply wafer carriers or reticle pods?
In the midstream tier, Gudeng makes EUV reticle pods and 300mm FOUPs, and Santa Phoenix Technology supplies wafer-carrier storage and transfer equipment. Confirm specifications and supply terms with each company.
Where are the advanced-packaging equipment makers?
Mainly downstream, for example UVAT Technology, LINCOTEC and Ableprint Technology, covering coating, thin-film plasma and de-bubbling or reflow tools. Product details are in the directory.
Does the alliance publish solutions or case studies?
Its solutions and cooperation-case sections currently show no content, so this page lists none. To learn what members can do, read the directory descriptions and contact the companies directly.
