JKE
JKE is listed in the Semiconductor alliance.
Single-site precision sheet-metal fabrication
JKE is a precision sheet-metal fabricator. Its processes include laser cutting, bending, welding, rolling and levelling, waterjet cutting, assembly, tapping, spot welding and stamping. The parts go into medical components, automotive components and complete plant equipment. The company handles the work from design to finished product in one flow and schedules production by computer. Production management aims to accept only good parts, make only good parts and release only good parts. The company has introduced computerised management and plans to buy new equipment each year.
Equipment and measurement
For cutting, JKE runs fully automatic 3D laser tube cutting, fibre-laser and CO2 laser cutting and five-axis waterjet cutting. For forming it uses computerised punch presses, press brakes and an automatic leveller; for joining, five-axis laser welding and automatic CO2 gas-laser welding. Finished parts are checked on 2.5D and 3D measuring equipment, and the company has held ISO 9001 certification since 2008. Quality control covers systematic mass-production control and quality assurance. For forming, the company uses computerised punch and tapping machines, and computerised press brakes with tube-bending capability.
Drawing design and process planning
The research and development department has 30 staff who prepare drawings and plan processes. The company says its design work looks at what customers need now and in future, and considers ease of use, safety and downstream finishing of the finished part.
Position in the alliance and ways to engage
JKE sits in the downstream tier of the TINAI semiconductor alliance, offering fabrication of metal parts and equipment structures. Overseas buyers with sheet-metal, tube or frame requirements can share drawings and volumes, and be introduced to the company through TINAI.
